When I served in AmeriCorps they were always the first to donate cakes and other baked goods if we were having a function with children. Such delicious stuff.
Thank you for your support.
I would love to share my ideas with you. I know a place where you can relocate and expand business. I would also appreciate it greatly if you would switch to using unbleached flours or organic flour, as bleached flour is hard to digest. I think unbleached tastes better, and unbleached pastry flour should perform the same.
I will have to talk that over with my baker. But at the moment we are just trying to get everything together for a monday opening. Thanks for the suggestion.
Jim Thanks for helping with the Swiss Bakery. I went there in December to get a birthday cake for my fiance' and found out they were closing in a week. i was so sad and wished I could buy the building and help them out. Its one of those places you just like to know are there. when I saw them back up and running I got so excited. Im thinking about getting my wedding cake there now for later this year!
Thank you for your support. It has been hard work but we are all passionate about it. We do make great wedding cakes. If you want, you can come in and we can discuss the size type and style of cake you want. Donna is really talented and I am sure you will not be disappointed with her level of care and expertise. I am out of town for the next week. But you can stop by when ever you want and ask for Donna. She can help you.

Thanks again.
Jim
It is a great day for the neighborhood. Are you serving tea and milk as well as coffee?

What will Chevra provide? Is it for all adults, or only a certain age group? The Federation has funded some activities, but they keep out anyone over 40, which is bad. I have one friend who is actively searching for ways to increase his Jewish connection.

I enjoyed speaking to you at the bakery recently.
I was in last Friday with my son and we got a delicious apricot hamantashen. It was great. Thanks! The cafe section looks great as well. Does Chevra have any plans for 30 something couples with babies/toddlers? Thanks.
We do have many 30 somethings who are married that attend our events. But not with their children. At this point we need to raise more money to keep our programming alive. Unfortuantely we are bleeding money because we charge so little to come to our events that it doesn't cover the costs of the events. So if you know of anyone who would like to donate please send them to our donation page http://www.chevra.net/donate.html This way we can increase our programming. But feel free to come to an event and get connected. Or email jon@chevra.net maybe he can suggest another avenue for connection.

Thanks
Jim
The chevra's focus is 20's and 30's however some 40 somethings hang around at their events. (Me being one of them). I think they would probably suggest individual learning sessions to connect you more to the treasures that are available in the laws of Judaism. I would suggest contacting jon@chevra.net. Telll him I suggested that you contact him and he can guide you to a resourse the would be appropriate for your needs.

All the best
Jim
It seems to me your best chances of raising funds are to eliminate any age barriers. I fail to see the relevance, nor why anyone under 40 should be unable to encounter, socialize with, or learn from someone over 40. It is a strange and bad mindset. We were all under 30 once. People over 40 might tend to have more money, but no less need for your programs. What is the history of your foundation? It would be good to know more about it.
Also, are you going to serve Hausbrandt coffee at Swiss Haus, Hausman?
i do. sorry to be ageist Saul. but folks like to be, in general, within their generational groupings. it's just reality. i don't often enjoy being with groups of early 20 somethings at social gatherings b/c i don't get what the hell they are talking about half the time. individually, interaction is much different of course and if the group meeting was around an issue rather than social grouping, i totally get what your saying.
