About Me:
I have a keen interest in election protection and election administration. My work at InfoVoter Technologies led to the discovery of 40,000 missing absentee ballots in Broward County Florida – exposed on The Nightly News with Tom Brokaw – leading to the re-issuance of these ballots just days before the 2004 general election, and, more recently, to an April 9, 2008 US Congressional hearing investigating voting irregularities during the primaries. I've worked closely with government agencies, advocacy groups and voters to identify best practices and evaluate performance levels of our strained & multi-tiered election system.

I sit at the nexus of media organizations that have included NBC News, CNN, The Tom Joyner Morning Show, and advocacy groups such as Common Cause, Voter Action, People For The American Way, The Advancement Project, The Reform Institute, The League of Women Voters and the NAACP-National Voter Fund, academic partners like the University of Pennsylvania Law School and technology partners to build & operate the country’s largest voter hotline and election information system.

In addition, my work has been presented at symposia at the University of Pennsylvania and Princeton University. He's been quoted in, interviewed by, or advised on background, the Boston Globe, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, Wired.com’s Threat Level, POTUS 08, MSNBC, FOX, American News Project, Philadelphia Citypaper and Alternet Foundation’s 2008 Voting Guide. I have also provided guidance and testimony in voting rights cases including NAACP-SCP v. Cortes.

I'm InfoVoter Technologies' Senior Vice President & lead analyst for all media organizations, and to a host of election protection and voting integrity organizations. I'm an AmeriCorps alumnus who served with City Year Greater Philadelphia and this year I was identified as one of 101 Emerging Connectors by Leadership Philadelphia.

I started Philly1.com in 1998 and began producing and streaming weekly video interviews in 2000. From 2002 through 2007 Philly1.com served as media partner to The Weekly Press and University City Review newspapers.

We were at Grandma's and this video was taken just before my phone -- that was capturing video -- made its way into the Delaware river. It's amazing we were able to retrieve so much of the data.
